Microsoft will host all of its conferences online this year
The annual Microsoft Build 2021 conference will be online again from May 25 to May 27.
Microsoft's first conference this year, Ignite, was already online in early March. The third major event, Inspire, is scheduled for July.
The company officially announced that all events will take place online until July, however, if the pandemic continues, Microsoft will extend this period.
The main focus of Build will be on the developers, while the business aspects will be discussed on Inspire. At Ignite, Microsoft unveiled the Mesh platform that will allow attendees to communicate in virtual space and interact with virtual 3D models.
This year's Build may introduce Windows 10 21H2 with a redesigned design and new features. Also expected is the presentation of Windows 10X - a special version of the OS for tablets with two screens and similar devices.
NVIDIA will host its GTC21 conference online from April 12-16. Registered members will have access to over 1,400 free sessions on the topics of artificial intelligence, data center, accelerated computing, healthcare, smart grids, game development, and more.
Apple also announced that its annual WWDC21 Developers Conference will take place online from June 7-11. Participation in WWDC21 will be free of charge. The conference will talk about future versions of iOS, iPad OS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, as well as new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
As GameSpot reports, citing ESA documents, E3 2021 will also be digital and free for all visitors. E3 traditionally takes place in early to mid-June. Meanwhile, Microsoft and its affiliate Bethesda studio are planning their own presentations outside the exhibition.
