The Samsung Galaxy S21 will ship without a charger but at a lower price point. Main characteristics
New flagship smartphones will ship without a charger in the box. The kit will only include a USB-C cable. At the same time, Samsung has lowered the price of its 25W charger from $ 35 to $ 19.99.
This can be a problem for those who didn't buy the previous S20 flagship, which came with a suitable charger.
The company explains its decision to remove the charger to reduce e-waste. Samsung says the S21 comes with "exactly what you need."
The S21 will also not come with wired headphones. However, the company will have to comply with regulations in some countries that require headphones to be included with a smartphone.
Earlier, Apple did the same. At the presentation of the iPhone 12, the company said that smartphones will receive a simplified package - without power supplies and headphones. New and older iPhones now only come with a USB-C to Lightning cable. The company explained this by concern for the environment.
Samsung showed three smartphones from the new line. These are Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
They come with a Snapdragon 888 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Built-in 5G modem will extend the battery life of devices. The new processor also supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. In terms of Bluetooth, both phones work with the new Galaxy SmartTag.
The S21 + has a 4800mAh battery with a slightly larger capacity than its 2020 counterpart.
The S21 and S21 + have displays the same size as their predecessors (6.2 inches on the S21 and 6.7 inches on the S21 +), but this time Samsung opted for Full HD + panels with lower pixel density. Both support variable refresh rates up to 120Hz to smooth out animations and make the interface more responsive. What's more, they feature a new Eye Comfort feature that adjusts the amount of blue light emitted based on the time of day and type of content.
The S21 has a plastic back, while the S21 + has a Gorilla Glass Victus panel. Samsung will sell the S21 in four color options: Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom Pink, and Phantom White. Meanwhile, the S21 + will be available in three colors: Phantom Violet, Phantom Silver, and Phantom Black. Customers will be able to select additional colors, including Phantom Gold and Phantom Red, when purchasing phones directly through the company's website.
The S21 and S21 + have a main 12MP camera with a wide-angle lens with a standard f / 1.8 aperture, dual-pixel autofocus, and optical image stabilization (OIS). Complementing the main sensor is a 12MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64MP telephoto lens with OIS, 3x hybrid zoom, and 30x spatial zoom. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera with dual-pixel autofocus and an f / 2.2 aperture lens housed inside the display cutout at the top of the screen.
The cameras are the same as last year's models, but there are internal improvements. These are new software features. One of these features, Director's View, gives you real-time thumbnail previews from all three main S21 and S21 + cameras as you shoot. The other, Vlogger View, allows you to simultaneously record footage from the front and rear cameras. Space Zoom now uses artificial intelligence to minimize the effect of shaky hands. And the new Private Share feature will help you control who sees the pictures; you can add an expiration date to the shared content.

Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra no longer support magnetic Secure Transfer (MST) Samsung Pay. Samsung believes the adoption of NFC has reached the point where it can phase out MST.
One of the important additions to the S21 Ultra is the addition of a Wacom digitizer. Unlike the Note series, the S-Pen is not built into the phone, but an external accessory.
The novelty has already been compared with the new flagships of other manufacturers:
The smartphones will go on sale on January 29th. The S21 and S21 + will cost between $ 800 and $ 1000. That's $ 200 less than the Galaxy S20 and S20 +.
