Vivo has quietly launched a new smartphone under its Y-series. Called Y20SG, the phone is available in the Philippines for about $ 205 (₹15300 approximately). The smartphone comes in Obsidian Black and Purist Blue color options.


The Vivo Y20SG measures 164.41×76.32×8.41 mm and weighs around 192.3 grams. It has a 6.51-inch HD display with a resolution of 1600x 720 pixels and an LCD (IPS) panel. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.


For performance, the Vivo Y20SG relies on MediaTek's Helio G80 processor. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with support for a microSD card for expandable storage. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android-based Funtouch OS 11.



In the camera department, the Vivo Y20SG has three sensors on the back. The setup consists of a 13-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Some of the camera modes are available on your phone Portrait, Photo, Video, Panorama, Live Photo, Slo-mo, Time-Lapse, Professional, and Documents.


In terms of connectivity, the new phone supports a full slot (2 nano-SIM and 1 microSD card), Bluetooth 5.0, micro USB, and GPS among others.


Separately, Vivo is gearing up to launch its next flagship phone, the Nex 5. According to rumors, the phone will eat with a 6.78-inch four-yard display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate. It can also have a camera under the display with a 32-megapixel sensor.


The Nex 5 can also come with a 4500mAh battery along with 120W wired fast charging and 60W wireless fast charging. Leakage further states the phone can have IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The phone will most likely run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor. There is no word on when the phone will be officially launched.
